Speakers in the Spotlight: Allister Frost
Featuring in the Operators & Keynote Conference on Wednesday 21st September is the award-winning Chartered Marketer and former UK Digital Marketing Personality of the Year, Allister Frost.
The ex-Head of Digital at Microsoft was responsible for major budget campaigns including Windows Vista, Windows 7 and the ‘I’m a PC’ campaign – testament to his expertise in improving marketing results by leveraging emerging digital technologies to inspire profitable customer actions.
After overseeing Microsoft’s multi-million-dollar search marketing programme and accelerating adoption of emerging digital channels, including social networks and mobile across a large matrixed marketing organisation, Allister has since gone on to launch Wild Orange Media.
Attracting such a respected thought-leader is a major coup for LIW 2016, and attendees will benefit hugely from Allister’s authoritative understanding of the digital world. The highlight, of course, will be his tailored seminar on emerging and future marketing techniques including social media, PPC and digital advertising that will synergise with the leisure sector.
What’s more, LIW delegates can use the knowledge and expertise on offer from Allister to try and get ahead of technological advances in their own business to develop future-ready capabilities. The quality and clarity on offer is in keeping with the ethos of LIW across the board to deliver genuine workforce development opportunities rather than anecdotes.
In his own words, Allister helps people understand the “transition from shouting out advertising messages to the few to engaging in an ongoing conversation with customers and partners.”
The major benefit of Allister’s background is, of course, the relatability. While Head of Digital Marketing Strategy at Microsoft he gave fresh impetus to brands including Xbox, Windows and Office by making them more accessible to customers through real-time communication channels. During a marketing career spanning more than 25 years he has also managed leading brands including Andrex, Huggies and Kleenex and his recent speaking, consulting and training projects have included work for world-leading companies including Pfizer, Bloomberg, GE, Computacenter, Legal & General, Kia Motors, PwC and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
So what exactly will Allister be talking about? Well the real insight into his proficiency will be evident in the talk itself, of course. But what Allister covers, in essence, is to look at a range of digital topics that can be applied to both B2C and B2B content marketing to unlock profitable commercial opportunities.
As Allister says, “You don’t need big fancy budgets to do remarkable stuff on the social web, that’s what makes it so exciting.”
If you think you could benefit from the expertise and knowledge of Allister Frost, then seeing him is simple.
