Hydration and electrolytes in sport & exercise
The world of sports and exercise is changing and we are seeing a huge shift of attitudes towards it. Sports and exercise are now more about progression, improvement and being a better version of you rather than just playing to win. Staying hydrated and replacing what you lose in sweat during exercise is important for this personal progression. During exercise we lose water and electrolytes, therefore staying fully hydrated and maintaining electrolyte balance is important. The amount of fluid and electrolytes we take in before, during and after a work-out session as well as timings are important factors to be considered for an optimal hydration strategy.
