Kevin Hadfield


Kevin started his career as a Physical Training Instructor in the Royal Air Force before working for NATO based in Holland. After six years he became a Sports Development Officer working with a local authority in Scotland before being promoted to head a leisure service at a small district council. During that time Kevin lead the development of one of the first Leisure Trusts which he headed for several years before moving to East Riding of Yorkshire Council where he is now Leisure Services Manager covering 11 leisure centres, Libraries, Archives and Museums. His service has won the Association of Public Sector Excellence Award team of the year on four occasions and top performing leisure centre on five occasions. His service is also the only local authority service to win at the Institute of Customer Services awards alongside organisations such as Amazon, John Lewis etc.

Kevin has a degree in leisure management, a masters in business administration and a masters in public sector management. Kevin has been a regular guest speaker at national conferences on topics of customer service and health agenda matters.
